East Mississippi Community College’s basketball winning streaks jointly improved to four consecutive games, as the EMCC men’s and women’s teams swept Northwest Mississippi on the road during Monday night MACJC North Division action played at Howard Coliseum.  The visiting Lady Lions overcame an early double-digit deficit to claim a 58-48 victory, while the Lions men recovered from a six-point halftime hole to earn a 74-67 nightcap win over the Rangers.

The East Mississippi Community College basketball teams closed out a successful week of home hoops action by sweeping Coahoma during Thursday night MACJC North Division play at Keyes T. Currie Coliseum.  Following the Lady Lions’ 56-45 win over CCC, the EMCC Lions had five players score in double figures during their 87-62 nightcap victory over the Tigers.

The East Mississippi Community College basketball teams picked up convincing double-digit home victories over Holmes Community College during Monday night’s MACJC North Division hoops action contested at Keyes T. Currie Coliseum.  The Lady Lions shot 69 percent from the field in the second half to coast to a 71-49 victory in women’s action, while the EMCC men moved into a first-place tie within the division with their solid 70-59 triumph over the Bulldogs.

The East Mississippi Community College basketball teams tipped off the second half of the MACJC conference hoops slate in winning fashion by sweeping Mississippi Delta during Thursday’s action at J.T. Hall Coliseum.  The EMCC women used a 9-0 run coming out of halftime to help propel them to a 65-50 win, while the Lions had four double-digit scorers in their 72-67 victory over the Trojans in the men’s nightcap.
