EMCC Athletic Facilities
SULLIVAN-WINDHAM FIELD
Having made its debut during the 2011 national championship season, EMCC’s Sullivan-Windham Field seats approximately 5,000 spectators and features a synthetic playing surface. The $4.7 million complex showcases a state-of-the-art video scoreboard, double-decker press box facilities, spacious locker room accommodations and convenient concession stand and restroom availability.
KEYES T. CURRIE COLISEUM
Named in honor of Hall of Fame EMCC basketball coach and school administrator Keyes T. Currie Sr., East Mississippi Community College’s Currie Coliseum served as the host site for the 2010 & 2020 MACJC Conference Basketball Tournaments. Recently equipped with a new hardwood floor, new ceiling-mounted and wall-mounted scoreboards, and renovated locker room facilities, the arena is slated for additional improvements in the near future.
GERALD POOLE FIELD
Named for veteran East Mississippi Community College baseball coach and longtime school administrator Gerald Poole, EMCC’s recently refurbished baseball complex ranks as one of the finest baseball facilities among Mississippi’s community college ranks. The spacious press box houses the baseball coaches’ offices and overlooks a grandstand seating area directly behind home plate.
EMCC SOFTBALL FIELD
Completed in time for the 2009 season, East Mississippi Community College’s softball field ranks as one of the state’s finest softball facilities with spacious dugouts, a multi-purpose press box and convenient concession stand availability. Most recently, EMCC’s softball complex was upgraded to include improved locker room accommodations for the Lady Lions.
EMCC WEIGHT ROOM
Opened in 2003 and recently renovated East Mississippi Community College’s spacious student activities complex houses a modern weight room with state-of-the-art strength and conditioning equipment available to all of the school’s student-athletes. The complex also houses offices for the Lions’ football coaches.
EMCC ATHLETIC TRAINING ROOM
Under the supervision of full-time certified athletic trainer Steven Bontrager, East Mississippi Community College’s recently refurbished athletic training facility houses the state-of-the-art equipment and necessary personnel needed to enable EMCC’s student-athletes to remain healthy and competitive on and off the playing field.
