With a 13-shot improvement on the final day of play, the East Mississippi Community College men’s golf team finished in a season-best eighth place at this week’s Jim Redgate Invitational played at Briarwood Golf Club. The two-day tournament, hosted by Meridian CC, was held Monday and Tuesday.
The East Mississippi Community College men’s golf team placed 10th earlier this week in the Northeast Invitational played at Shiloh Ridge. The two-day conference event, hosted by Northeast Mississippi Community College, was played Monday and Tuesday in Corinth.
Under the guidance of first-year head coach Mark Furnari, the East Mississippi Community College men’s golf team is set to begin fall competition this week (Aug. 25-26) at the Ranger Classic hosted by Northwest Mississippi Community College. Golf action is set to take place Monday and Tuesday at Kirkwood National Golf Club in Holly Springs.
