EMCC soccer teams set to begin MACCC play Friday by hosting Itawamba on Scooba campus
Following a handful of pre-conference matches, the East Mississippi Community College men’s and women’s soccer teams will begin the MACCC portion of their 2023 schedule by playing host to Itawamba Community College Friday evening (Sept. 15) on the Scooba campus. A scheduled 5 p.m. women’s match will be followed by a 7 p.m. men’s contest at EMCC’s Sullivan-Windham Field.

Former MACCC/MUW player Alejandro Pocasangre hired as EMCC’s assistant soccer coach
Reunited on the Scooba campus with his former high school and junior college coach, Alejandro Pocasangre has been named assistant soccer coach at East Mississippi Community College. His hiring was announced this week by first-year EMCC head soccer coach Chris Rash.

Following a 13-year hiatus from the Mississippi community college soccer scene, East Mississippi Community College is set to return to the field next month with the announcement of the Lions’ 2023 soccer schedule.
