EMCC to conduct cheer tryout clinics and May 6th cheerleading tryouts on Scooba campus

SCOOBA – East Mississippi Community College will be conducting two cheer tryout clinics in advance of holding May 6^th cheerleading tryouts for the 2023-24 academic year on the Scooba campus.

Interested cheer tryout participants must attend at least one of two EMCC tryout clinics in order to participate in the school's cheerleading tryouts. EMCC's tryout clinic dates are scheduled for Tuesday, April 25^th and Tuesday, May 2^nd from 5-8 p.m. at EMCC's Keyes T. Currie Coliseum. Following a 9:30 a.m. registration session on Saturday, May 6^th, tryouts will be held at the coliseum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

East Mississippi's cheerleading tryouts are open to graduating male and female high school seniors as well as current college students with eligibility remaining.

Along with a $25 registration fee per individual to be paid in cash or by check made payable to the EMCC Development Foundation, EMCC tryout clinic and cheer tryout participants must also provide proof of admission into East Mississippi Community College or indicate what method was used in applying to EMCC. In addition, interested participants must submit a signed tryout waiver form, copies of a current physical examination form and insurance card along with completing an online tryout registration form.
