East Mississippi Community College’s baseball season ended on a high note by claiming a 12-2 run-rule nightcap victory over seventh-ranked Jones College during Friday’s MACJC conference action played at Community Bank Park.  The Bobcats posted a 5-2 win over the visiting Lions during the opening game of the doubleheader.

White Field.

The Lions of East Mississippi Community College closed out their home baseball slate on a positive note by earning a doubleheader split with Meridian Community College during Wednesday’s MACJC conference action played at Gerald Poole Field.  EMCC’s 7-4 nightcap victory over the Eagles followed Meridian’s 23-3 opening-game win over the Lions.

East Mississippi Community College’s baseball team flipped the score to earn a home conference doubleheader split with Coahoma Community College during Tuesday’s MACJC action played at Gerald Poole Field.  The Lions’ 10-3 nightcap victory gained the twin-bill split after they dropped the opening game to the visiting Tigers by the same score.

The Lions of East Mississippi Community College earned their second straight MACJC baseball doubleheader split on the road with another standout pitching performance.  Wesley Grantham tossed a five-hit, complete-game shutout in EMCC’s 8-0 nightcap road win over Mississippi Delta during Tuesday’s conference action played at the Jimmy Bellipanni Baseball Complex.  The Trojans claimed a 13-5 run-rule victory over the Lions in the opening game.

Despite a pair of excellent outings by their starting pitchers, the Lions of East Mississippi Community College dropped their conference-opening home baseball doubleheader against Copiah-Lincoln during Saturday’s MACJC action at Gerald Poole Field. After a ninth-inning comeback attempt in the opening game ultimately resulted in an 11-5 setback in 15 innings, EMCC couldn’t hold a late lead in the nightcap en route to dropping a 3-2 decision to the visiting Wolves.

In their first game action in nearly two weeks due to rain and wet field conditions throughout the region, the Lions of East Mississippi Community College split an eventful home baseball doubleheader with East Central Community College Friday afternoon at Gerald Poole Field.  After a series of comebacks resulted in a dramatic 18-17 walk-off victory for EMCC in the opener, the Warriors earned the split with a 15-3 run-rule win in the nightcap.
