East Mississippi Community College freshman outfielder Karen Wisher and sophomore pitcher Carys Goodwin have earned 2024 All-MACCC softball honors, as announced this week by the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference office. Wisher has been named to the league’s second team and Goodwin was recognized as an honorable mention recipient.
East Mississippi Community College’s continuous streak of having student-athletes qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) has reached 14 consecutive years. In addition, Tanner Brown has become the Lions’ fifth rodeo student-athlete to qualify for three CNFRs since the inception of EMCC’s rodeo program in 2010.

Set to make their third straight baseball postseason appearance, the Lions of East Mississippi Community College will take on 13th-ranked Jones College this weekend (May 3-5) in an NJCAA Region 23 best-of-three playoff series to be played in Ellisville. Nine-inning contests are set for Friday (6 p.m.), Saturday (4 p.m.) and Sunday (2 p.m.), if necessary, at Community Bank Park.
