Four East Mississippi Community College student-athletes have been selected to the 2023-24 All-MACCC basketball teams, as voted on by the league’s head basketball coaches. The men’s and women’s all-conference basketball teams were announced Tuesday by the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference.

The home-standing EMCC Lady Lions battled to the final buzzer before falling, 68-61, to East Central during Thursday’s conference hoops action played at Keyes. T. Currie Coliseum. In the men's contest, the Lions continued their top-four positioning within the MACCC basketball standings by hanging on for an 85-81 win over the visiting Warriors.

The EMCC women's basketball team fell on the road, 61-43, to Coahoma's Lady Tigers during Monday’s MACCC hoops action played at the Pinnacle. In the men's nightcap, Tremaine Dixon Jr.'s career-high 34 points helped spark the EMCC Lions to a 77-67 come-from-behind road victory over Coahoma.

Coming off last week’s home hoops sweep over Mississippi Delta, the East Mississippi Community College basketball teams both fell on the road to Northeast Mississippi during Tuesday’s MACCC action played at Bonner Arnold Coliseum. The Lions dropped a hard-fought 72-70 men’s decision in the nightcap after the short-handed EMCC women were knocked off by the Tigers, 80-61, in the opening game.

The EMCC Lady Lions snapped a 10-game losing skid with a hard-earned 51-49 home win over Mississippi Delta during Thursday’s MACCC basketball action played at EMCC’s Keyes T. Currie Coliseum. In the men's nightcap, the short-handed Lions claimed their fifth win in six games with a 64-52 victory over the visiting Trojans.
