EMCC to hold “Late Nite with the Lions” preseason basketball event Monday on Scooba campus
East Mississippi Community College fans will have an opportunity to preview the 2019-20 editions of the Lions and Lady Lions basketball teams during Monday’s “Late Nite with the Lions” preseason event on the Scooba campus. Action is slated to begin at 9 p.m. at EMCC’s Keyes T. Currie Coliseum with no charge for admission.

Monday night's activities will include EMCC's teams participating in three-point shooting and skills competitions along with a dunk contest for the men. Prizes and giveaways will also be available for those in attendance.
Coach Billy Begley's reigning MACJC champion EMCC Lions are scheduled to tip off the new season with a 1 p.m. Friday afternoon (Nov. 1) home contest against the Memphis-based Mid-South Prep Academy post grad team. There will be no charge for admission into Friday's EMCC men's basketball season opener.
Coach Sharon Thompson's EMCC Lady Lions will open their 2019-20 basketball season on Monday, Nov. 4 at Meridian Community College. A 5:30 p.m. women's game will be followed by a 7:30 p.m. men's contest at MCC's Graham Gymnasium.
