Lady Lions win fourth straight with 58-48 road win over Northwest

East Mississippi Community College’s basketball winning streaks jointly improved to four consecutive games, as the EMCC men’s and women’s teams swept Northwest Mississippi on the road during Monday night MACJC North Division action played at Howard Coliseum.  The visiting Lady Lions overcame an early double-digit deficit to claim a 58-48 victory, while the Lions men recovered from a six-point halftime hole to earn a 74-67 nightcap win over the Rangers.

EMCC Lady Lions set to tip off hoops season at Coastal Alabama-North

On the heels of Monday’s “Late Nite with the Lions” preseason hoops festivities on the Scooba campus, basketball season tips off for the East Mississippi Community College men’s and women’s teams Thursday evening. The Lions will play host to the Jackson-based Royal Ambassadors Prep team at 7 p.m. at EMCC’s Keyes T. Currie Coliseum, while the Lady Lions will travel to Monroeville, Ala., to take on Coastal Alabama CC-North at 5 p.m.
