Currie Coliseum. In the men’s nightcap, the Lions’ furious comeback attempt came up two points short in an 81-79 setback to the visiting Rangers.

    The sophomore backcourt tandem of Tyeisha Juhan and Kaisah Lucky combined for 52 points to lead the East Mississippi Community College women to an 84-68 home win over Northeast Mississippi Community College during Saturday afternoon MACJC North Division basketball action played at EMCC’s Keyes T. Currie Coliseum.  The visiting Tigers then claimed a 71-61 victory in the men’s nightcap to earn the doubleheader split.

    The East Mississippi Community College Lions prevailed in their MACJC North Division home basketball openers by sweeping Coahoma Community College Thursday night at Keyes T. Currie Coliseum.  The EMCC women posted a convincing 90-63 victory, while the Lions completed the sweep by pulling out an 83-79 win in the men’s nightcap.

    Tyeisha Juhan’s career-high 35 points lifted the East Mississippi Community College women’s basketball team to a 72-65 road win over previously unbeaten East Central Community College during MACJC doubleheader hoops action Tuesday night at Brackeen-Wood Gym.  In the men’s nightcap, the EMCC Lions battled from behind virtually the entire evening before dropping a hard-fought 99-92 decision to the Warriors.

    The Lions of East Mississippi Community College successfully tipped off the new calendar year by sweeping the visiting Meridian Community College Eagles during Thursday night MACJC hoops action.  The EMCC women began the evening by posting a low-scoring 54-43 victory, while the Lions followed with a solid 89-68 triumph in the nightcap to complete the sweep at Keyes T. Currie Coliseum.

    The visiting East Mississippi Community College basketball teams dropped their MACJC North Division openers to Northwest Mississippi Community College Monday night at Howard Coliseum.  The EMCC women lost a 77-64 decision to the Lady Rangers, while the Lions fell by a 78-67 tally in the men’s nightcap.

    East Mississippi Community College’s return to the hardwood from the Thanksgiving holiday break resulted in a pair of home basketball losses to reigning NJCAA Tournament participants Shelton State Community College Monday night at Keyes T. Currie Coliseum.  Following the EMCC women’s 86-65 setback to the preseason nationally third-ranked Lady Bucs, the Lions also battled from behind before dropping a 71-63 decision in the men’s nightcap.

Currie Coliseum in their final home hoops action before the Thanksgiving holiday break.  The EMCC women claimed a 71-59 win over Snead State Community College, while the Lions completed the sweep with a commanding 122-63 victory over Royal Ambassadors Christian School in the men’s nightcap.

    Sophomore guard Keith Harris scored 15 points during a four-minute, second-half stretch to ignite East Mississippi Community College’s 65-58 comeback victory over East Central Community College during Thursday night MACJC basketball action at EMCC’s Keyes T. Currie Coliseum.  The ECCC Lady Warriors claimed the women’s contest with an 85-76 win in the opening game.

    In their first road action of the young season, the East Mississippi Community College basketball teams gained an MACJC doubleheader split against Meridian Community College Monday night at Graham Gymnasium.  Following the Lady Eagles’ 58-48 win over EMCC in the women’s game, the visiting Lions claimed a convincing 74-47 victory in the men’s nightcap.

    The East Mississippi Community College basketball teams successfully tipped off their season with a home sweep over Tennessee Preparatory Academy Thursday evening at Keyes T. Currie Coliseum. Following a 29-13 final in a shortened women’s contest, the Lions completed the sweep with a 68-56 victory in the men’s nightcap.
  • EMCC women to tip off basketball season by hosting Tennessee Prep Academy

    East Mississippi Community College’s 2017-18 basketball season is set to tip off Thursday night with a home doubleheader against Tennessee Prep Academy.  A 5:30 p.m. women’s game will be followed by a 7:30 p.m. men’s contest at Keyes T. Currie Coliseum on the Scooba campus.
