The visiting Lions of East Mississippi Community College had their chances against Itawamba Community College but came out on the short end of a 2-1, 6-1 MACJC softball sweep at the hands of the fourth-ranked Indians Tuesday afternoon on the ICC campus.

EMCC’s late-game rallies result in home softball DH split with Meridian on Sophomore Day
A pair of late-game rallies by East Mississippi Community College resulted in a home MACJC doubleheader split of one-run decisions against visiting Meridian during Sunday’s Sophomore Day action at the EMCC Softball Field. After scoring four runs over the final three innings to claim a 4-3 walk-off win in the opener, EMCC couldn’t quite erase a four-run deficit in dropping a 5-4 nightcap decision to the Lady Eagles.

East Mississippi Community College dropped a home softball doubleheader, 9-4 and 10-3, to Northeast Mississippi during Monday’s MACJC play at the EMCC Softball Field. After letting an early lead slip away in the opening game, the Lady Lions fell victim to a seven-run seventh inning by the visitors in the nightcap.

EMCC and Hinds split dramatic MACJC softball twin bill in Raymond
With both games being decided in the final inning, the East Mississippi Community College softball team split Friday’s MACJC road doubleheader with Hinds at Rene T. Warren Field. After pulling out a 3-2 win in the opener, the Lady Lions’ valiant comeback effort in the seventh inning of the nightcap was denied in a heartbreaking 8-7 loss to the Lady Eagles.
