EMCC’s Tristan Martin wins CNFR steer wrestling title; Lions post third straight Top 10 national team finish
For the second time in three years, East Mississippi Community College can claim a national champion in collegiate rodeo. Tristan Martin captured the individual steer wrestling national championship during Saturday night’s championship round of the 2018 College National Finals Rodeo held at the Casper Events Center in Wyoming.

EMCC trio set to make return appearance at College National Finals Rodeo in Wyoming
East Mississippi Community College is set to make the school’s eighth consecutive appearance in the College National Finals Rodeo at next week’s (June 10-16) event in Casper, Wyo. With competition slated to begin Sunday, the week-long CNFR will conclude with next Saturday night’s championship round at the Casper Events Center.

EMCC trio qualifies for College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming
On the heels of posting consecutive Top 10 men’s team national finishes, East Mississippi Community College will be represented in next month’s College National Finals Rodeo by a trio of cowboys making a return appearance at the CNFR. EMCC’s Tristan Martin, Jace Harris and Ethan Wheeler have qualified to compete in this year’s CNFR, set for June 10-16 at the Casper Events Center in Casper, Wyo.

EMCC men’s rodeo team places third in regular-season finale at Northwest Mississippi
The East Mississippi Community College men’s rodeo team capped the 2017-18 Ozark Region regular-season slate with a spring-best, third-place finish this past weekend at the annual Ranger Rodeo, presented by Sycamore Bank and the Northcentral Electric Power Association. The three-day event concluded Saturday night at the Northwest Mississippi Community College Multipurpose Arena.

East Mississippi men’s rodeo team places fifth at UT Martin
The East Mississippi Community College men’s rodeo team placed fifth this past weekend at the 50th Annual Spring College Rodeo hosted by the University of Tennessee at Martin. The three-day event concluded Saturday night at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Complex. EMCC’s women placed seventh.

Exciting collegiate rodeo action returns to Meridian this week when East Mississippi Community College hosts its annual intercollegiate rodeo at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center for the second straight year. The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association-sanctioned event, presented by HMR Veterans Services, Inc., begins Thursday and runs through Saturday night’s finals.

The East Mississippi Community College men’s rodeo team tied for fifth place at the University of West Alabama Rodeo Showdown held this past weekend at the Don C. Hines Rodeo Complex. The three-day event concluded Saturday night on the UWA campus.

EMCC men place second at Viking Rodeo Stampede in Missouri; Lions set for UWA Rodeo Showdown
The East Mississippi Community College men’s rodeo team followed up last week’s season-opening regional event title by placing second at the Viking Rodeo Stampede this past weekend. The Missouri Valley College-hosted event concluded Saturday evening at the Saline County Fairgrounds.

EMCC men’s rodeo team claims season opener at PRCC-hosted event in Hattiesburg
Coming off back-to-back Top 10 national finishes the past two years, the East Mississippi Community College men’s rodeo team successfully opened the 2017-18 National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association’s Ozark Region slate by claiming first-place honors this past weekend in an event hosted by Pearl River Community College. The three-day PRCC college rodeo concluded Saturday night at the James Lynn Cartlidge Forrest County Multi-Purpose Center.
