Along with player introductions for head coach Sharon Thompson's Lady Lions and head coach Mark White's Lions, Monday's EMCC hoops preview is also slated to feature a dunk contest involving members of the men's team as well as three-point shooting contests by both squads. Having concluded preseason action by participating in a pair of out-of-state jamborees earlier this month, the East Mississippi basketball teams are set to open the regular season on the road by taking on Alabama Southern Community College Tuesday, Nov. 4, in Monroeville. The EMCC teams will then tip off their home slate Thursday, Nov. 6, by playing host to nearby rival Meridian Community College in a 5:30/7:30 p.m. basketball doubleheader at Currie Coliseum on the Scooba campus.
