NJCAA Football Champion EMCC Lions Honored at Capitol by Mississippi House of Representatives
East Mississippi Community College's 2014 NJCAA National Championship football team was recognized Wednesday morning at the Capitol by the Mississippi House of Representatives in Jackson with the presentation of House Concurrent Resolution 69.

JACKSON -- East Mississippi Community College's 2014 NJCAA National Championship football team was recognized Wednesday morning at the Capitol by the Mississippi House of Representatives in Jackson with the presentation of House Concurrent Resolution 69.
Guided by head football coach Buddy Stephens, the 2014 EMCC Lions captured their third NJCAA National Championship in four seasons by claiming a 34-17 victory over Iowa Western Community College last December at the Mississippi Bowl played in Biloxi. The 2014 Lions also won their fourth MACJC State/NJCAA Region 23 football championship in six years as well as earning their sixth MACJC North Division regular-season title in seven seasons under Stephens' guidance.
