Coach Chris Rose's 18th-ranked EMCC Lions are coming off their sixth conference doubleheader sweep of the season after knocking off Itawamba, 5-2 and 9-6, this past Tuesday in Fulton. Now 21-11 overall and 15-5 within the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges, East Mississippi currently stands in third place among the conference standings just one game behind both nationally top-ranked Hinds (29-4, 16-4) and 16th-ranked Northwest Mississippi (25-8, 16-4). The NWCC Rangers are slated to visit the EMCC campus for a key Wednesday (April 22) doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. in Scooba.
